Challenge

RING wanted to celebrate our military servicemen and women for Veteran's Day. There was a great deal of pressure on this piece as not only was it important to properly honor our soldiers, but Amazon had deep, personal connections to the military and we had to do it justice.

Insight

In our research and interviews, we explored the unique ways in which real military members were using RING to keep in touch with their families while deployed. There were so many incredible stories to be told, that we knew they best approach was to get out of the way as much as possible.

Solution

We selected a real family from our interviews and research to make a mini documentary about. To tell the story authentically, we combined interview footage with the actual footage of their kids running excitedly up to the RING camera to talk to their dad on deployment.
